The Value of Life

Do you think most people understand the value of life? It is not every day that I see someone come back from death in the ER, but it does happen on occasion. Last weekend I saw a man who would have died without our medical attention. Today, if I were to ask him what monetary value does life have, I think he would have simply said 'life is priceless.' There is no monetary value for life. But what if there is still a payment that you have to pay for the life you were given? Perhaps we can all give something to someone. What would we look like as leaders if we were to give instead of consume. Give a life lesson to a kid who didn't know better. Give some time for a kid who thinks that no one has time for him/her. Give some attention to a kid who is overwhelmed by life. What can you give to pay for the life that you have been given?

I'm trying to do just that. Trying to start up Young Life Ventura for the exact reasons you mention... Kids need Christ, not to mention I need Christ. Kids need to see Christ within us because they sure they heck won't find him on MTV, American Idol, or the movie 300.
